NBA sports announcer Joe Tait was the Voice of the Cavaliers for 39 years, from the team's inception in 1970 until his retirement in 2011. After a bout of pneumonia and subsequent heart surgery in 2010, Tait became a rehabilitation patient at Life Care Centers of America.
Life Care therapists were able to help Tait regain his independence and return home in time to finish announcing the Cavaliers' 2010-2011 season. Tait retired on April 13, 2011, after the Cavaliers defeated the Washington Wizards.
His story is just one of many tales of exceptional care found throughout Life Care's skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers.
